RCW86 (G315.4-2.1) is a shell-type SNR for which an identification with the historical SN AD185 has been suggested. Its distance and evolution process has been discussed much in this respect. In addition to non-thermal X-rays, TeV gamma-rays detection was recently reported from the SNR, thus investigation of the acceleration mechanism is of importance. Recent studies have shown a complicated X-ray feature in the north-eastern (NE) shell, including a local enhancement of Fe-Kalpha line. It has been proposed that a possible local collision of the SN fast-expanding blast wave with dense matter be the cause and there are some hints in the NANTEN map. We plan to map the NE shell of the SNR RCW86 in the CO(J=1-0) emission line, in search of localized cloud near the Fe enhancement in particular. Measuring the matter distribution along the shell and examining a possible association with the SNR will verify the evolution scenario and allow estimates of the pre-shock parameters. Additional measurement of the HCO+(J=1-0) line in the candidate cloud will provide further clues as to the association.
