The investigation of the earth from space and the investigation of space for the benefit of mankind is discussed along with the relationships of the earth and its surroundings to the rest of space. Factors considered are: (1) ecological problems and their relationship to Cosmonautics; (2) space geocentrism; and (3) conquest of space and the earth: a systems approach. It is shown that the key to many of the problems on the Earth may be found in space.
