The magnetic moment of a sample, consisting of a spherical ulvöspinel shell and one of several magnetic inclusions, has been measured below the ulvöspinel Curie point. The sample could be dismantled at low temperatures and the moment of the shell measured separately. Adequate agreement between these results and remanence measurements on pieces of ulvöspinel is found if some assumptions are made about local interactions inside the material.
