The most common and typical peculiarity of magnetic splitting of absorption lines in the sunspot spectrum is the breaking of the Stokes parameter symmetry with respect to the line center. Computations of Stokes parameters in the medium with the velocity gradient and inhomogeneous magnetic field are presented. Magnetooptical effects within the line which are associated with the magnetic and velocity field inhomogeneity are examined. Experimental results are discussed for longitudinal magnetic field zero lines. The relation between the zero line displacement of a longitudinal magnetic field and the crossover effect is analyzed.
