La0.78Pb0.22MnO3 single crystal is grown by the high temperature solution growth method. Magnetic, magnetoresistive and Hall effect characteristics of the mono crystal are studied as a function of the temperature and magnetic field. The maximum Giant Magnetoresistance (GMR) occurs at the ferromagnetic - paramagnetic phase transition temperature at 385 K and 14 T with ΔR/R(0)=95%. The sample is paramagnetic above and ferromagnetic under this temperature. Metallic - insulator state transition takes place in this temperature region.
