We present expressions which describe the angular displacement of radio sources due to refraction in a magnetized plasma. The main objective of the present paper is to take into account the combined effect of gradients of the electron density and the magnetic field. We use the geometrical optics approximation for the determination of the angular broadening of the radiation. The expressions obtained are applied to the case of the solar corona.
