Scientific paper

In this paper we discuss the luminosity determination at the Tevatron. We
discuss luminosity measurements by the machine as well as by using the
luminosity detectors of the CDF and D0 experiments. We discuss the
uncertainties of the measurements, the effort to maximize the initial and
integrated luminosity, the challenges and the lessons learned.
