Magnetohydrodynamic Waves
Scientific paper
Based on equations of magnetohydrodynamics an explicit form is obtained
for the frequency of non-radial poloidal and toroidal hydromagnetic
oscillations of a star modeled by spherical mass of perfectly conducting
incompressible inviscid liquid. Numerical estimates are presented for
the period of Alfven oscillations in neutron stars.
