The new CERN project, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), will open new possibilities for the discovery of new physics up to the TeV scale. The LHC 1 is a proton-proton collider that will be installed in the LEP (Large Electron-Positron collider) tunnel. The collision energy will be √ s = 14{TeV} and the luminosity L=1034 cm-2s-1. The production of one or more Higgs bosons will be fundamental to a better understanding of the electroweak symmetry-breaking mechanism. The mass mH of the Standard Model (SM) Higgs boson 4 is not theoretically predicted. On the basis of present theoretical knowledge, the Higgs sector in the Standard Model remains largely unconstrained. From unitarity arguments an upper limit mH < 1 TeV can be derived, while direct seaches indicate the limit mH > 107.9 GeV. Recent analyses performed at LEP2 at √ s = 206 {GeV} have shown Higgs candidates with mH ≃115 GeV. The LHC machine and the ATLAS 2 and CMS 3 detectors will allow the extension of the SM Higgs search up to the unitarity mass limit and the verification of the last LEP2 data...
