We collected many quasi-simultaneous optical observations of six blazars derived from previous published papers over 16 years. The color indices variability was obtained. According to the correlation analysis between color indices and brightness, we found that the variability of blazars contained long-term ``mildly-chromatic'' variations and ``strongly-chromatic'' short outbursts. The shock-in-jet model modulated by geometrical effect may provide the better interpretation for the physical mechanism of blazar variability.
