Long-period (2-30-day) wave disturbances in the F-region were investigated by analyzing interdiurnal variations of 12-LT or 10-14-LT-averaged hourly values of f0F2, h'F, and h(p)B2 for the periods Dec.-Feb. 1965-1966, Nov.-Feb. 1978-1979, and June-Aug. 1966. The results suggest that these disturbances are an ionospheric manifestation of traveling planetary waves.
