Diurnal and semidiurnal variations of cosmic rays are studied on the basis of Yakutsk data for the period 1954-1978; attention is also given to variations of galactic cosmic ray currents for the period 1964-1974. It is shown that the amplitude and phase of the diurnal variations varied with periods of one and two solar cycles. It is also found that, besides a variation with solar cycle, cosmic ray currents exhibited an appreciable semiannual variation.
