An approximate equation describing long nonlinear slow body wave propagation in a magnetic slab in magnetic environments is derived. It is shown that this equation has no solutions in the form of solitary waves. Second-harmonic generation by a sinusoidal wave is studied. Results of numerical computations are presented. They show that a sinusoidal disturbance overturns, i.e., infinite gradients arise. An approximate formula for the overturning time is derived. The application of these results to the problem of coronal heating is discussed.
