The present study examines the calculation of loading tides on a stratified viscoelastic self-gravitating half-space. The equations of motion are solved and the various Green's functions of loading tides are calculated by the solutions of the equations of motion satisfying the surface mass-load boundary conditions (stresses and perturbing potential). The results show that the effects of self-gravitation are negligible for the evaluation for loading tides for displacements, tilt, and strains.
