The dynamic behavior of a coupled-inductor converter in constant frequency current-programmed mode is analyzed using averaging techniques. In the continuous conduction mode, a small signal model is obtained in the form of a control to output transfer function. The conditions necessary for a first-order response are identified. Under conditions of order reduction, a non-linear control of the coupled-inductor converter, suitable for large signal applications is presented.
