The moments of UV emission line profiles between 1206 and 1670 A observed in two quiescent prominences with the High Resolution Telescope and Spectrograph (HRTS) are analyzed. Spectral lines in this region of the solar spectrum such as C1, Si2, Si4, He2, and C4 provide information on plasmas in the 10,000 to 200,000 K range. In both prominences, a good correlation is found between the intensities of lines formed at different temperatures. A good correlation is also found between the nonthermal velocities of different lines. Generally, the nonthermal velocity increases with intensity and temperature. The nonthermal velocities are higher in the HRTS 1 prominence. Mean nonthermal velocity is 20 km/s for the HRTS 1 prominence and 10 km/s for the SL2 one. The line of sight velocities are generally well correlated in the HRTS 1 prominence. On the contrary, in the SL2 prominence, poor correlation is found between the line of sight velocities of all lines.
