The possibility of an iron-rich phase coalescing in the solar interior is investigated by an analysis in terms of the Debye-Hueckel model. In this analysis, the electrons are treated discretely and as a continuum. The result supports the possibility of phase separation. Simplified models for the iron, hydrogen plasma diagram are presented, and the implications of iron-rich phase separation for the thermonuclear process are examined.
