We consider the problem of bound states of spin-0264-9381/13/5/001/img1
and spin-0 particles in the vicinity of infinitely thin straight cosmic
string owing to self-interaction forces. It is shown that there are no
bound states for charged particles, and that there exist bound states
for neutral particles.
