An R&D project for the construction of a new Electromagnetic
Calorimeter prototype is described. The prototype is an
absorber-scintillator sandwich with lateral W.L.S. fiber read-out with
the addition of three Si-pad planes. Preliminary results from test-beam
runs are shown.
