The Cryogenic Dark Matter Search (CDMS) uses Ge and Si detectors to search for Weakly Interacting Massive Particles (WIMPs) via their elastic-scattering interaction with atomic nuclei. Results from CDMS as of June 2000 give limits on the spin-independent WIMP-nucleon elastic-scattering cross section that exclude previously unexplored parameter space above 10 GeV/c2. The latest results from CDMS include a reanalysis of data which incorporates a larger fiducial detector mass. A new physics run is presently being carried out at the Stanford Underground Facility while preparations are underway for the second phase of CDMS at a deeper site. This work is funded by the National Science Foundation and the Department of Energy.
