Scientific paper

A summary of the intial pure D2O phase results is presented in the first half
of the paper. The second half describes the various aspects of the calibration
and detector reponse analysis carried out for the second `salt' phase of
running. In addition, estimates on the precision attainable with the salt data
are presented.
