Rate coefficient of the cyanide anion (CN-) with cyanoacetylene (HC3N) reaction, has been studied in gas phase at room temperature using a Flowing Afterglow Langmuir Probe - Mass Spectrometer (FALP-MS) apparatus. The rate constant for the CN- + HC3N reaction is k = 4.8 × 10-9 cm3/s with an uncertainty of 30%.
