New spectroscopic observations of 35 M 31 globular cluster candidates, located at galactocentric distances larger than 10 kpc from the nucleus of the galaxy, have been carried out in two different runs at the 6m BTA telescope. Radial velocities for 21 new confirmed clusters never observed so far are presented. After these observations, all the high confidence cluster candidates located farther than 13 kpc from the M 31 nucleus have been spectroscopically checked and 29 have been confirmed to be globular clusters. Adding these new data to all published cluster radial velocities, the total sample of spectroscopically confirmed M 31 globular clusters includes 176 objects, with typical velocity errors <= 30 km s^-1^. Two different approaches applied to the global sample to get hints on the galaxy total mass give some indications favouring a possible steady increase of the M 31 mass up to values typical for a massive halo (~5-8 x 10^11^M_sun_, at 30 kpc), but the assumptions imposed by the methods in absence of a firm knowledge of the actual orbit distribution severely limits the reliability of this result.
