Radiowave search for cold hydrogen in the Large Magellanic Cloud gives a new look inside our neighbouring galaxy. The results can be interpreted to show that the amount of cold hydrogen is higher than in the Galaxy or that the temperature of the hydrogen clouds is lower. Nevertheless, this has consequences for the explanation of the much higher star formation rate in the LMC.
