Some years ago one of the authors expressed the idea that if the just-so oscillations turned out to be the solution of the solar neutrino problem, it would not be an amazing fine-tuning but in this way the anthropic principle might show itself. Throughout this paper the authors suppose that the just-so oscillations are the solution of the solar neutrino problem. They show that where intelligent life can develop there it is also possible to measure the solar neutrino oscillations in vacuum. Postulating that it is due to some version of the anthropic principle, they propose a suitable one.
