The isotopic composition of both oxygen and sulfur has been measured in rain water sulfate over about one year. From the results obtained it is concluded that the main source of sulfate in rain water in Pisa is probably atmospheric oxidation of SO2 from industrial activity.ReferenceThodeH.G.MonsterJ.DunfordH.B.Geochim.
