X-Ray Bursters:Radiation Mechanisms
Scientific paper
Several features of the rapidly repetitive radiation from compact X-ray sources are suggestive of the explosive three-wave interaction as generating mechanism. The possibility of such an explanation is discussed and it is shown that this could account for the observed energy range of the radiation as well as the observed variable burst patterns.
