In this paper, irradiation resistance of the novel scintillating phosphate glasses using SnO2 as emission center are reported for the first time. Host glass composition is 75P2O5-25SrO and different SnO2 concentrations are included. Irradiation treatments on glasses were carried out under the 60Co γ-ray radiation with different dose. Results show that the transmittance of the glass samples decreased with the increasing irradiation dose and that is mainly due to the EC which is produced by the irradiation.
