A programmable infrared seeker/data fusion processor has been developed to study the detection, acquisition, and tracking of ship targets in sea clutter. The design requirements are summarized and the design itself is described, including the line scanning seeker, imaging IR seeker, and system computer. The classification algorithm, flyable pod, and operator rack are briefly examined. Results from field exercises and data reduction are summarized.
