ON July 10,1959, the Sydney Observatory reported a class 3 + solar flare
lasting from 0210 to 0410 U.T. The Cable and Wireless, Ltd., Receiving
Station at Singapore also experienced a sudden fade-out of all radio
circuits at 0210 U.T., the circuits not being re-established until
between 0415 and 0430 U.T.
