Investigations of thermal diffusivity and elastic anisotropy have been carried out under high pressure. The pressure is generated by means of a cubic press with a special piston system. The thermal diffusivity for several granulite samples was measured by an impulse method. The elastic anisotropy was investigated for pyrophyllite and calcite. The calcite crystal undergoes a phase transformation in the investigated pressure range with a change of the character of anisotropy.
