The results of ground-based polarimetric, photometric, and spectroscopic investigations of Saturn's disk carried out over the past 20 years at Kiev are reviewed. The polarization properties of various regions of the disk are given and the spectrophotometric characteristics of the disk are described, including the brightness distribution across the disk, the spectral reflectivity at the center of the disk, and the strength of molecular absorption bands. The obsevations are analyzed to determine the physical characteristics of the cloud particles, to compare the results of calculations with photometric observations, to estimate the values of other atmospheric parameters, and to discuss the origin and possible properties of the oriented particles.
