Solar Rotation, Sunspot Groups
Scientific paper
Based on measurements of sunspot groups at King Abdul-Aziz Solar Observatory (KAAUSO) 1985 - 1999, we determined the solar differential rotation during solar activity cycle No. 22 and part of 23. We found that the rotation rate for the sunspot groups is W = 14.02-2.87sin2f (deg/day), which is less than the rate of the individual sunspots that reduced from the same measurements by about 0.7%.
