Attention is given to Venera 13 and 14 studies of fluxes of solar protons at energies of 1-30 MeV and intensity variations of galactic cosmic rays (with proton energies exceeding 30 MeV) in interplanetary space. The instrumentation is described, and an analysis of the data is presented, including examinations of the intensity of soft protons measured during the period November 1981 to July 1982, and of the 11-year variations of cosmic-ray intensity and solar activity.
