The paper examines a system of nonstationary three-dimensional hydrodynamic equations intended to describe the restructuring of the thermosphere at heights of 120-600 km during geomagnetic disturbances. The aeronomic parameters of these equations are discussed, and consideration is given to the numerical solution method, as well as to the initial and boundary conditions. Results of calculations are presented, and variations of the temperature, composition, and global circulation of the disturbed thermosphere are examined. In particular, the effect of disturbed circulation on the composition and temperature is considered.
