The paper studies the problem of optimal two-impulse transfer between coplanar elliptical orbits, when there is an angular range of 180 deg between the orbits. It is shown that the magnitude of impulses can be determined from finite formulas while the points where the impulses are applied can be determined by solving one of two transcendental equations. Choice of the form of equation depends on the mutual positioning of orbits, each equation having four roots, associated with extrema of the total impulse. The transcendental equations which are obtained are reduced to algebraic equations of the eighth order.
