The vibrational-rotational spectra of ammonia and methane have been recorded from 6000 to 6500 A by using an intracavity laser-detection method. The maximum effective path length used in the present work was 10 km. Line intensities obtained for the NH3 band at 6450 A are in good agreement with those of Giver et al. The rotational-vibrational structure of weak ammonia bands at 6050 and at 6250 A has been recorded for the first time. The wavelengths and the intensities of lines in these bands and in the methane band at 6190 A are reported.
