A novel interferometric approach for obtaining surface interferograms on
Wolter-type optics is presented. A subaperture simulation experiment
shows the data analysis steps required. A second, independent test
basically confirms the simulation results. Splicing of the subaperture
interferograms around the circumference is discussed.
