Scientific paper

The interaction of the solar wind with the comet's ionosphere is studied. Exact solutions for the number density of the neutral particles outgassing from the comets nucleus, in the presence of the solar radiation pressure, are obtained. This kind of information is extremely important in the formation of the shock wave and tangential discontinuity, on the sunside of the comet, after the neutrals become ionized. Solutions of the conservation equation of the number density, mass, momentum and energy, are also obtained.
