The interaction of the aluminum nucleus with an energy of approximately 1 TeV/nucleon in a photoemulsion is characterized by a large multiplicity per interacting nucleon and a symmetric angular distribution of relativistic particles. It is shown that this interaction cannot be explained by a simple scheme according to which the nucleus-nucleus interaction can be considered as the combination of nn or nA collisions.
