Geomagnetic storms are the consequences in the terrestrial environment of solar disturbances. In this work we study the geomagnetic storms of the solar cycle 23 with the largest Dst variation in the main phase. Different stages of these events from the Sun to the terrestrial environment are carefully analyzed. This detailed study reveals that there is interaction among solar wind structures in these events.
