We present some preliminary experimental results concerning the implantation of approximately 1 keV/amu ions on silicates, carbonaceous materials and frozen gases. The purpose is to simulate solar wind ion implantation on planetary objects. In particular we investigate on the possibility of producing chemical bonds between the projectile and the targets atoms searching for the appearance of characteristic IR bands. Results obtained up to now refer to the search for the -SiH stretching band by H(+) (1.5 keV) implantation into silicon and silicates, and to X-C(tripple -bond)N or X-C(tripple -)C-H bonds by N(+) (14 keV) implantation into carbonaceous materials and frozen hydrocarbons.
