The short period oscillations of the earth's atmosphere transparency for the spectral line 510.6 nm are studied using lidar data. The results obtained are discussed in connection with the problem of the reliability of short-period intensity oscillations of the Fe XIV (530.3 nm) solar coronal emission line. The main conclusion is that the green coronal oscillations with periods shorter than 60 s are realistic.
