Integral cross sections for interactions of low-energy electrons (20 to 100 eV) with atomic oxygen are improved by using results of theoretical calculations of generalized oscillator strengths for certain Rydberg series. Approximations of total ionization cross sections and elastic scattering cross sections are obtained for the same energy range on the basis of recent experimental and theoretical data. Cross sections are also determined for the excitation of 15 oxygen triplet states with a specific electronic configuration and the excitation of two metastable states of the 1S and 1D ground-state configurations. The results are compared with experimental data as well as with previous analytical representations.
