For the detection of extensive air showers, a small detector array consisting of 32 scintillation counters is built up on top of the KASCADE central detector. This array is able to measure time and energy information of the electromagnetic cascade of extensive air showers. The calibration of the detectors and their time stability is investigated. Using data from the first measurements these events are reconstructed. With simulations the quality of the reconstruction for the different parameters is studied.
