The two satellites of the STEREO mission which will be launched in 2005, will improve our understanding of the 3D corona, its magnetic configuration and evolution. The two classical main 3D techniques (tomography and stereoscopy) require input which does not exist in the solar case (eg. simultaneous observations all around the observed subject for tomographic reconstructions, optically thick plasma for stereovision). Thus, these techniques need to be adapted to the specific case of the solar corona. Using the solar rotation, we determine the key geometrical parameters of stable 3D structures of the highest part of the solar atmosphere. Taking some assumptions into account, the dynamics of plasma structures and some evolution of the topology of the magnetic field in the corona can be described in some specific cases. Physical consequences of these results (study of the magnetic evolution by following the traced plasma) will be shown. To improve the processing, coronal structure identification and matching will be done in the future automatically. As an example we present how the use of epipolar geometry together with image filtering techniques can lead to a practical algorithm for the reconstruction.
