Measurements to evaluate the ionospheric conductivity tensor were carried out using four sounding rocket payloads in order to contribute to the investigation of the heat input into the polar high atmosphere by a magnetosphere substorm. First results show valuable information on temperature anisotropics, sporadic E-layers, strongly field aligned particle fluxes, and electric field variations.
