The Poincare solution is generalized by the perturbations method for the case of a slightly nonellipsoidal liquid core. The eigenfunctions of the problem are obtained in the first approximation. Corrections to the amplitudes of forced nutation are computed with allowance for the topography of the core-mantle interface. Their values for the inverse fundamental and annual nutation components considerably exceed modern observation errors, but by the introduction of these corrections it is not possible to reconcile the observed and theoretical amplitudes of forced nutation.
