The cyclotron instability and the associated quasi-linear relaxation of a beam of ultrarelativistic particles in a relativistic plasma situated in a magnetic field are analyzed with allowance for magnetic bremsstrahlung. A system of one-dimensional quasi-linear equations is derived under the assumption of intense bremsstrahlung, and an asymptotic solution of this system is obtained for long time spans. It is shown that quasi-linear relaxation leads to deceleration of the beam and to transformation of the beam energy to radiation energy. The results are seen to be of interest to the physics of the magnetosphere of pulsars.
