The possibility of amplifying Langmuir (plasma) waves in pulsar magnetospheres via the curvature of magnetic field lines is examined. It is assumed that the particles move in an effective magnetic field in such a way that the motion takes place around a Larmor circle with a radius equal to the radius of the curvature of the magnetic field lines. It is shown that, in the case of diffuse resonance, the generation of potential (electrostatic) waves is possible; however, the growth rate of the instability is of the order of 1/tau(0), where tau(0) is the time required to carry the plasma beyond the light cylinder.
